Since I am now mostly unemployed, I feel that personal projects are the only way to keep me from going crazy and/or watching too much reality TV on Bravo. Honestly, I am amazed to see how very low my discipline can be on a day to day basis, whether it involves guitar, facebook or reduced fat cheez-its.

I recently discovered a park nearby that has a lovely paved trail through the woods with NO ONE on it during "working" or school hours. (Namely, a schedule that no longer applies to me). Therefore, I have started running. Online sources that I've consulted say over and over again to not overdo it at first. Even not overdoing it and walking at least a quarter of the 25 minutes I was in excruciating pain for 2 days. 3 1/2 days later, I went again and found myself able to do even more acutal jogging. We shall see how the pain is when I'm dancing with babies in towson tomorrow.

I have always envied "running" people. People who get up in the morning to go for runs, or who are able to do so in inclement weather without complaining were the lean, organized, hardworking individuals who I longed to be one of. I'm afraid my new plan will hit some problems; my chronic hip pain from bad posture during practice has been bothering me again; winter will come and I'll have to deal with the cold...blah blah blah.
